Yoga classes at Motion Dance Centre are suitable for all yogis, whether it is your first time trying yoga or you have been practicing for years! Yoga is a mind body practice that includes physical exercise, controlled breathing, meditation and relaxation. Yoga may increase strength, balance, flexibility, cardiovascular health concentration, and bone density while reducing insomnia, stress and anxiety.
Gentle candlelit Hatha/Yin fusion where students will move in and out of postures slowly focusing on safe alignment and proper breathing.
Vinyasa yoga class is a more fast paced “flow” style class that has a focus on linking breath to movement. This class is for all levels of yogis with individualized adjustments and modifications offered as needed.
Yin yoga is a restorative and meditative class that focuses on long-held, passive floor poses working mainly the lower part of the body such as the hips, pelvis, inner thighs and lower spine. Yin yoga applies less stress to the joints and is a perfect class for any student beginner or advanced. Yin is a great compliment to a high paced Vinyasa practice.
Lunchtime yoga is a shortened Hatha/ Vinyasa style class for all levels that will energize you for the rest of your day and is a great meditation and exercise break midday.
