Motion Dance Centre

About Us

Our Philosophy

Motion Dance Centre employs a strong team with varied skill sets, to ensure that we are providing the best dance education in every style we offer. Our goal is to share our love of dance as a means of creative expression while building a strong technical foundation to ground our students. We encourage each student to tap into their creativity and be their authentic selves in our studio. We hope to not only teach them to dance, but to help them develop team work skills, critical thinking, self confidence and build lifelong friendships.

We also feel strongly that physical activity and exercise is important in people of all ages. Dancing provides physical, mental and emotional benefits. Dance gets you moving and gets your heart rate up! Unlike many forms of exercise, dance utilizes not just your muscles, but also your memory and challenges you to stay focused. Dancing provides a creative outlet for emotions and helps provide a channel of communication. In a culture that perpetuates a sedentary lifestyle, dance offers a fun way to get up and get moving, and make physical activity a priority in your daily life at any age!

At Motion Dance Centre, classes are designed based on the developmental level of each age group. You will find fun and interactive activities at the infant, baby. toddler, young child, pre-teen, teen and adult level. We offer classes in a multitude of styles in both competitive and recreational formats, and we are located in the heart of the Lower Sackville community. Our studio is located at 567 Sackville Drive (Lower Level of Knox United Church).

Your first class is always on us, so register your child (or yourself!) for a dance class today by emailing info@motiondancecentre.ca, calling 902-801-8116, or visiting our Registration tab.
